Getting The Most Out Of Your Doctor Visit

•  Ask a family member or bed partner to come to your doctor visit. Generally, they can provide the doctor with valuable information related to your sleep habits.

•  Keep a sleep log for a week or two prior to the doctor visit. Record sleepiness, times fallen asleep at inappropriate times.

•  List any medications or herbal remedies you may be taking.

•  Write down any and all questions prior to the doctor visit to insure all questions you have are addressed.

•  Take notes; write down the answers to your questions.

•  Express to the doctor your concerns; what symptoms bother you the most.

•  Have your doctor explain any answer given that you don't understand.
